The effect of this card is risky to use, but when everything goes right you can reap a huge reward by doubling most mana across the board, you can use high mana maneuvers like those seen in a Vial Smasher not-white four-color commander deck

Though if you are running those three, and you have creatures, this is pretty amazing

That requires a few extra lands in play for Fabled Passage, but you can usually work around that restriction
